Project Engineer

We are looking for a full-time project engineer with strong communication skills to be the primary technical contact for our customer. The project engineer must have experience managing and designing water/waste water projects. The project engineer is responsible for maintaining budget, scheduling preparations, control panel design, submittal development, PLC programming, graphic development, control panel quality control, and on-site startups. Do you have what it takes to join our team?

Responsibilities:

  • Assist sales with adds and/or deducts
  • Assist with invoicing
  • Attend and schedule meetings
  • Be accountable for the project budget
  • Calculate and record heat loads, motor loads, and power supply loads
  • Develop bill of materials and maintain budget (equipment and labor)
  • Development of PLC programs and HMI graphics
  • Maintain communication chain of command
  • Meet or exceed project deadlines
  • Perform after-hours response
  • Perform control panel testing
  • Perform installations, start-ups, repairs & calibrations as needed
  • Perform project design (drawings, submittals, O & M’s)
  • Perform startup and training
  • Provide concise and timely communications between customers, managers, and team members
  • Provide Sales Team with leads
  • Provide technical assistance over the phone or internet to diagnose customer issues

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to program different manufacture’s PLC’s
  • Advanced troubleshooting
  • Graphics development for HMI’s and SCADA systems
  • Knowledge of communication protocols
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code
  • Knowledge of the UL508 standards
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical
  • Proficient with Adobe Acrobat or PDF software
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Proficiency in the use of hand, power, and specialized measuring tool

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or similar
• 3 to 5 years related experience
