Franz Griggs is an Service Engineer at Toric Engineering.  Franz joined the Toric team in August of ’25. As a service engineer, he works in the field to perform startups and calibrations, install instruments, and answer service calls.

Franz has received his Associates of Science in Electronics Engineering at the Pittsburgh Technical Institute in 2008. He also went on to get certifications in OSHA 30 Gen Industry 2025 and NFPA 70E 2024 2025. He comes to Toric with over 14 years of experience in the field. 

Outside of work, Franz enjoys video games, movies, amusement parks, and after school activities with his kids. 

When asked why he chose to work in the engineering field he stated, ” I learned about automation and controls while I was in high school and have enjoyed the industry ever since. “

Fun Fact:

            Franz once did a radio upgrade project with over 100 installations. ,
