The customer had an existing return activated sludge (RAS) control panel that they needed updating. The existing equipment was outdated and wasn’t compatible with the new pumps. Toric Engineering replaced the existing variable frequency drive (VFD) keypads on the exterior with new keypads. The existing lights and switches on the door were reused to minimize installation time. A new back panel was constructed in Toric Engineering’s panel shop. The back panel was thoroughly tested prior to installation in order to reduce down time of the RAS system. Toric Engineering’s experience with retrofitting control panels provided the customer with a quality product, in budget, and minimal downtime.
